Pneumatic Height Adjustment
Pneumatic Height Adjustment
In last week’s post we enumerated the various forms of office chair support and proceeded to focus on Lumbar support specifically. This week we will move to the next item on the list, Pneumatic Height Adjustment.
What is Pneumatic Height Adjustment?
Pneumatic is a technological term used to describe a specific type of mechanical motion, specifically the use of air or some other gas to power a mechanical process. As regards office chairs, it generally refers to the way in which by pushing a lever, the chair can be raised or lowered to the desired height.
Why do I need that?
You ask good questions! The truth is you don’t need Pneumatically powered office chairs, but you do need height adjustment. Though, pneumatic devices tend have longer operational lives and increased reliability even in comparison to hydraulic systems. So if you are going to invest in quality office furniture, then selecting a pneumatic chair is a good first choice.
Well why do I need height adjustment?
The ideal seating position begins with your feet being flat to the floor. You may need to raise or lower the chair so that you can do so. Keep an eye on your knees to see that they form a 90 degree angle. Also check that the back of your knees are about two inches from the chairs edge. Although they might be adjustable, some chairs are meant to adjust for taller or shorter people so be sure to pay attention. There is no supportive benefit to having your feet dangle closer to the ground.
Setting your chair at the proper height will help you avoid back pain and stress. Call CubeKing and ask your customer service representative to assist you in selecting the correct chair for YOU!
